About this tour
This is one of the most remote and dramatic horse riding routes in Georgia, connecting two of the wildest highland regions of the Greater Caucasus -Tusheti and Khevsureti.
The journey takes you through high mountain passes, untouched valleys, and ancient shepherd trails that have been used for centuries. From the stone towers and alpine landscapes of Tusheti to the rugged, mystical terrain of Khevsureti, every day reveals a new and raw side of the Caucasus.
Ride alongside experienced local horsemen and a small herd of mountain horses as you cross isolated wilderness far from roads, towns, and modern life. This is real expedition riding – challenging, immersive, and deeply connected to nature and tradition.

Small torch – a head torch is particularly useful (take spare batteries).
Dry bags/supply of plastic carrier bags – always useful for separating wet and dry kit.

Due to the altitude the sun can be strong, and we advise a high factor sunscreen.
